Introduction of a new Aircraft

 

0.      Introduction

This procedure provides instructions and guidelines regarding the introduction of a new aircraft registration within DigiMAINT™.

 

1.      Requirements

2.      Execution

When an aircraft is added to the fleet the aircraft registration has to be introduced in DigiMAINT™.

NOTE:                        Deleting an aircraft registration shall not be carried out without supervision of the DigiMAINT™ coordinator.

 

2.1 How to introduce a new aircraft?

 

Start at the "DigiMAINT™ Main Menu" window.

Click on "Maint/Material Management"

Click on "Aircraft Inventory"

The "Aircraft/Assembly Inventory by Part Number" window is displayed.

3.

Click on "Goto"

 

4.

Click on "Rego"

The "Aircraft Regos by Type" window is displayed.

5.

Click on "File"

 

6.

Click on "Add"

The "Add Aircraft Info" window is displayed.

 

 

 

 

Enter all relevant data for the Part:

 

a.

Type

Enter the applicable aircraft type code or click on the "?"-button to display the pop-up window "Aircraft Types". 
Select the correct code be clicking on the applicable code.

b.

Generic Type Code

Enter the applicable generic type code or click on the "?"-button to display the pop-up window "Generic Types by Code".
Select the correct code be clicking on the applicable code.

c.

Serial Number

Enter the serial number of the aircraft.

d.

Registration

Enter the aircraft registration.

e.

First Flown

Enter the first flown date or click on the "?"-button to display the pop-up window "First Flown Date". 
Select the correct date be clicking on the applicable date.

f.

Model Number

Enter the model number of the aircraft.

g.

Airframe Code

Enter the airframe code.

h.

ICAO Base

Enter the ICAO Base Code for the home base of the aircraft.

i.

Total Time Hours

Enter the total hours flown before the aircraft was introduced into the system.

j.

Total Ldgs/Cycles

Enter the total landings/cycles accumulated before the aircraft was introduced into the system.

k.

Period in Months

Hrs for Period

 

m.

Ldgs for Period

 

n.

Number of Pilots

Enter the number of pilots required to operate the aircraft.

o.

Number of Crew

Enter the number of crewmembers.

p.

Endurance in Hours

Enter the maximum flight endurance in hours.

q.

Defect#

Enter the last auto-created discrepancy number.
Note: Set to "0" for a new aircraft.

r.

Cost per Hour

Enter the cost per flight hour (in local currency).

s.

Cargo (Lbs)

Enter the cargo capacity in Pounds.

t.

Fuel Type

Select either "Jet" or "Avgas".

u.

Wing Type

Select either "Rotary" for helicopters or "Fixed" for fixed wing aircraft.

v.

Last Update

Enter the last update date or click on the "?"-button to display the pop-up window "First Flown Date".                 
Select the correct date be clicking on the applicable date.

w.

Repair Account

Enter the applicable repair account for this aircraft.

x.

Est. Monthly Hrs

Enter the estimated monthly flight hours.

y.

Est. Monthly Ldgs

Enter the estimated monthly landings.

 

Click the "Recalculate"-button to recalculate the pricing information in local currency.

 

 

 

 

7.

Click the "Save"-button to save the entered data.

The "Aircraft Regos by Type" window is displayed.           
The header contains the message that the aircraft was successfully added.
